Hi, David Weck here. In this video, I'm going to be teaching you an unbelievable core exercise. What makes this exercise so effective is the arch and trajectory of the club. When you're doing it properly, you're going to feel total core engagement the entirety of this exercise.

Here's what it looks like: Split grip. Feet are spread, and I come up and rotate, up and rotate. So, it's low on either side, and it's an upward movement with that rotation. That arch of the club, coming up and down, almost like a landmine exercise with the barbell wedged into a corner, this arch creates that total core engagement. You want to make sure that you're rotating [Rotational Movement Training] the back foot as you do this arch, and you want to sudden decelerate on the club. How far back you rotate with the club is up to you. I'll show it from the side. Switching the grip. We want to have the Non-Dominant Side Training too. And it's 'here.' It's really important to get that arch. So, you want to think in terms of the club coming to about the level of your eyes, and then down to about your knee. That arch, and the speed and changing of direction, engages the core incredibly well. It will make you a lot stronger throughout the core and mid section, more coordinated, and athletically powerful.
