Triangle Patterns

I am learning to make a repeating pattern using triangles.

I know I can do it when I have used triangles to create a repeating pattern.

For this task you will need to make some triangles. You can create your own or follow the link below to find some that have already been prepared for you.

Using triangles, and only triangles, what repeating patterns can you create?

Independent Task

Make a collection of different triangle patterns and describe your patterns.

You can colour some of your patterns to help make them really interesting.

Extension

Using two different coloured pencils, create ten different interesting patterns and describe them.

Narrative – Thinking About Characters

I am learning to identify and describe characters in a story.

I know I can do it when I have chosen and describe a character from a story.

Choose one of your favourite books from your bookshelf.

Who is the main character?

Watch the video above to learn more about characters.

Independent Task

Draw a picture of your favourite character and label some facts about them. What do they look like? Are they friendly or mean?

Think of some interesting adjectives to describe the character.

Extension

Are there any supporting characters in the story?

Draw and label the supporting characters as well.
