Inspiration.

Over the weekend the Olympic Games started in Tokyo, Japan.

Thousands of athletes from all over the world have been training for their entire lives to compete in the competition.

Often, during the Olympics, inspirational stories of determination and persistence can be viewed. Watch the video below for an example from the 1992 games in Barcelona, Spain.

Independent Task

Think about someone who inspires you to achieve your goals. It might be a friend, teacher, family member or anyone else that you can think of.

Write a short letter to explain some of the reasons why this person inspires you.

Once you have written your letter, it might be a good idea to share your letter with the person that you have written about to brighten their day.
